Usually when people start off building a website, the most common mistake they make is to upload an image to the server and forget to fully specify the path of the image in their website code.
Say for example, i have an image named “apple.png” and when i upload it to my server it has a path such as “/public_html/mysite/images/apple.png”. When i want this image to appear when the website loads, i need to mention the FULL PATH.
A simple HTML code for an image might look something like this:
<img src=”/public_html/mysite/images/apple.jpg” />
A HTML code with “Alt” (Alt stands for “Alternate Text”) would look something like this:
<img src=”/public_html/mysite/images/apple.jpg” alt=”Apple” />
Please share with us if you know of some other mistakes that people tend to make that doesn’t show up on their website.
