301 Google-Safe Redirection Without loosing Page Rank

From time to time, you want to change domain names for some reason but you don’t want to loose all the credibility you gained over the years or the google rank you managed to get. The best way to switch over but still keep your original page rank for the domain is to perform 301 redirect.

There are lots of ways to achieve this through many different languages but people are generally aware of doing it through .Htaccess file alone. Today, I am going to show you how to achieve this result through many different ways. IIS Redirect

  • In internet services manager, right click on the file or folder you wish to redirect
  • Select the radio titled “a redirection to a URL”.
  • Enter the redirection page
  • Check “The exact url entered above” and the “A permanent redirection for this resource”
  • Click on ‘Apply’
